Cutting Room: VFX

From the cutting room, our visual effects guru Daniel Christie is using the latest version of Adobe After Effects to boost the image quality of OFFING DAVID. The film will not have computer generated monkeys, sci-fi phaser weapons, or polar bears but it will be effects intensive.

Among the 39 visual effects in OFFING DAVID, adding realism to David's mobile phone is essential as it becomes a character in the film. It lights up, it has text and photos on its screen, so all those things have to be added digitally.

In this photo the blue glowing light has been added. The original shot did not have a light at all -- the screen was black.
